Don’t try to be a stock picker. Follow a proven system.
Beating the stock market is difficult. Trying to do it by picking individual stocks is nearly impossible. If you decide to invest on your own and buy a stock, you’ve just committed yourself to three decisions, not one. You not only have to select that initial investment, but you also will need to decide when to sell it, and what stock will replace it. So that’s three decisions. Now imagine multiplying that process by however many stocks you own. If you plan to buy 10 stocks, that’s over 30 investment decisions you’ll need to make.
